Sri Jagdambika Pal, Chairman, Surya Group of Institutions, was born in Basti District of Eastern U.P. He graduated from Lucknow University in 1970, did L.L.B. from Gorakhpur University in 1973 and completed double M.A. in History and Political Science in 1980 and 1982 respectively from Avadh University. Enthusiastic to serve his state, he joined politics and became a member of Congress party. He has been elected - M.L.C. twice, from 1981 to 1993 and MLA thrice from 1993-2007 representing Basti Vidhan Sabha constituency. He is the current M.P. of Dumariyaganj constituency, elected in 2009. His other portfolios include being Cabinet Minister for Transport in 1997-98 and Chief Minister of U.P. in 1998. | |
He has been Chief Vice President of U.P. Congress Vidhan Mandal Dal in 1994-96, President of U.P. Congress Committee in 2003-04,member of Public Works Committee in 2002, President U.P. Olympic Association, Lucknow in 1997-2000 and Sabhapati of Grievance Cell of Financial Audit of local units in 2009. |
He is an outstanding Educationist. Having realized importance of rural women he started Surya Bux Pal Memorial Girls Inter College in Bankati, in 1996 and Moolraji Devi Memorial Degree College in Bankati, Basti. He established Surya Bux Pal Charitable Trust in Lucknow in 2005, for promoting Technical and Management Education. Within a short span of four years, he established four colleges, namely, College of Engineering Science & Technology in 2005, Surya College of Business & Management in 2007, Surya College of Pharmacy and Surya School of Planning & Engineering Management in 2008. More than 1200 students are enrolled in of B.Tech, M.B.A, B.Pharma , PGDM and BBA programmes. He aims to elevate Surya Group of colleges to the status of a university.

 Shri Abhishek Pal, son of Shri Jagdambika Pal was born in Basti. He did his higher studies in U.S.A and acquired BBA degree from Rochester Institute of Technology, Rochester N.Y. in 2001. During his stay in U.S.A., he served as Jr. Account Executive at Rockland M.D. in 1999-2000, ETS Assistant at Rochester Institute of Technology, Rochester and Financial Executive at German town M.D. He demonstrated his expertise in complex financial management. While in U.S.A, he visited many institutions and minutely watched their functioning. He concluded that the technical and management education in India should be at par with global standards. |

Keeping this ambition in mind (he as a founder member), established Surya Bux Pal Charitable Trust in Lucknow in 2005 and is holding portfolios of Secretary/Treasurer. He first started College of Engineering Science & Technology at Mohanlal Ganj, Lucknow as his dream project in 2005. With his visionary approach, within a short span of four years he formed Surya Group of Institutions by adding three more colleges, namely, Surya College of Business Management in 2007, Surya College of Pharmacy and Surya School of Planning & Engineering Management in 2008. These institutes run Programmes like B.Tech, B. Pharm, MBA, PGDM and BBA with more than 1200 students on board. He is further working towards his dream plan to transform Surya Group to the level of a self financing Technical University. Beside his highly busy schedule, he is also discharging responsibilities of the Secretary of Moolaraji Devi Education Society, Basti, U.P. since 2001. He is also a first level member of Scuba Diving International Richmond V.A U.S.A from 2002. onwards.He show his faith in us and approve the fund for our project and without fund it was not possible to start our project.he also give us time to see our presentation which anyone else had denined. |

 Prof. Naik is an outstanding academician. He did B.Sc. (Elect.Engg), M.Tech. and Ph.D in the field of Electrical Engineering. He served as a lecturer at H.B.T.I. Kanpur, Reader at University of Roorkee (now I.I.T. Roorkee) and professor at K.N.I.T. Sultanpur. He has 35 years experience of teaching, research & development experience. Besides, he also has versatile experience of academic, administrative, planning and curriculum development. He has been Director of K.N.I.T. Sultanpur for about six years, Director of R.K.G.I.T., Ghaziabad for about 1 year 9 months. He has also been chairman of R.K.G.I.T., Ghaziabad Counseling Centre in the same period. He is recipient of President of India Award and Merit Certificate Award of the Institution of Engineers (India).He help us in showing us the path towards a better way to approach our aim.Without his help this wouldnot have being possible.every time when we start lossinh hope and don’t have anyway left he was the one who help us to stand again and start approaching towards our aim. |
